This annual Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Fly-In at Centre Airpark Saturday and Sunday October 7 and 8 was a huge success. Despite Saturdays weather, a good time was had by all, including the evening bonfire and an outdoor viewing of the famed movie "One Six Right." A few of the pilots and EAA members also gave Young Eagle flights to many kids who have never flown in an airplane.
Sundays events were spectacular, with an estimated sixty aircraft attending, including many demonstrations such as the Pitts special, auto-gyro, and formation flying, and powered parachutes. The weather on Sunday was equally terrific, and so was the food!
Lots of photos from the event are on the squadron website photo gallery:

Thanks again to everyone who participated to make this event a success for the local EAA chapters.

On Sunday August 13th, the State College Radio Control Club held its annual airshow. This year, the airshow was held at Centre Airpark for the first time. With parking at a premium for this event, the SCRC asked 338 to help park cars and help out during the show. A good time was had by all, and everyone thrilled to the sounds and sights of many diferent types of R/C aircraft, full scale airplanes, and even two jumps from the Penn State skydivers.
